Who We Need
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused, experienced Mortgage & Protection Adviser to provide expert mortgage advice and tailored protection solutions to both new and existing clients. The ideal candidate will be proactive, compliant, and committed to delivering exceptional service while working closely with lenders, providers, and internal support teams.

Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Mortgage and Protection Advisor located in Congleton, Cheshire (some travel will form part of this role). The Mortgage and Protection Advisor will assist clients in navigating mortgage options, providing advice tailored to their unique financial situations.
You will provide expert, fully compliant mortgage and protection advice, guiding clients confidently from initial consultation through to completion and beyond. Conducting protection needs analysis and recommending relevant insurance solutions, presenting options clearly and ensuring clients fully understand the products offered.
Responsibilities
- Assessing clients' financial needs
- Offering appropriate mortgage solutions
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards
- Maintaining long-term relationships with clients
- Providing exceptional service in line with Franklyn’s core values (Integrity, Courage and Resilience, Together, Excellence and Continuous Improvement)
Skills and Experience
- Expertise in Mortgage Marketing and knowledge of mortgage products and trends - 2 years + experience
- Experience across BTL and specialist lending
- Understanding of protection products and underwriting processes and requirements
- Familiarity with CRM and mortgage sourcing systems
- Strong foundation in Finance and Financial Planning
- Experience working with Mortgages and providing tailored advice to clients
- CeMap qualification or equivalent certification is required
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and client relationship skills
- Ability to work independently, manage workload, and meet deadlines, as well as operate effectively as part of a close team
- Attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a regulated environment
- A background in customer service or sales within the financial sector is a plus
