Role Description

This is a full-time, remote Mortgage and Protection Advisor role on a self-employed basis. The advisor will provide tailored mortgage and protection advice to clients, assessing individual needs and recommending suitable products from a broad panel of providers. Day-to-day tasks include conducting client consultations (via phone, video, or in person), gathering and analyzing financial information, preparing recommendations, and managing applications through to completion. The role also involves maintaining ongoing relationships with clients, ensuring regular reviews of their mortgage and protection arrangements, and delivering a high standard of customer service. Advisors are expected to develop and grow their client base, collaborate with colleagues across the Tavistock Investments Group, and engage with training and development opportunities to enhance their professional expertise.

Qualifications

  • Strong client advisory skills, including the ability to assess financial needs, explain complex products clearly, and provide suitable mortgage and protection recommendations.
  • Sales and business development capabilities, such as building and maintaining a client portfolio, networking, and identifying new opportunities in the mortgage and protection market.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confident telephone and video manner, active listening, and the ability to build trust and long-term relationships.
  • Organizational and analytical skills, including accurate record-keeping, attention to detail in applications and documentation, and effective time management in a remote setting.
  • CeMAP or equivalent.
  • Comfort working on a self-employed basis, with the motivation to grow your business within a business.
