Mortgage Arrears Specialist

Our client is a mortgage and savings specialist, and they have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced arrears professional to join their servicing team.
The role will focus on speaking to customers who have found themselves in financial difficulty and coming to a resolution that benefits both the customer and our client. The role will also gain you exposure to more complex lending/arrears, such as commercial portfolios and interest-only lending, as our client is happy to train the successful individual in these areas.

Duties will include:
- Rehabilitation of customers to reduce the number of Recoveries/Repossessions.
- To ensure efficient processes and procedures are in place to monitor and address mortgage arrears and forbearance.
- To ensure there are monitoring processes and control on interest-only mortgage repayment strategies (including commercial loans).
- To ensure there are monitoring processes and control on mortgages due to expire and those that have expired.
- To identify, pay attention to, and adapt to the needs of customers and colleagues with characteristics of vulnerability.
- Quality of book – Identify areas of potential risk through gap analysis.
- Liaise with Solicitors and Estate Agents with regards to repossessing a property, taking the process through to sale completion.

The successful candidate will possess:
- Previous Mortgage Arrears experience.
- Confident approach to speaking with customers regarding their financial difficulties.
- Experience with more specialized lending would be highly desirable.
