Role Description

This full-time Mortgage Broker role is based in Ilford with a hybrid working model, combining on-site client meetings and office collaboration with the flexibility to work from home part of the week. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

The Mortgage Broker will manage the full application process, liaise with lenders, solicitors, and other stakeholders, and ensure a smooth journey from initial enquiry to completion. The role involves:

  • Building and maintaining a strong client portfolio
  • Generating new business through referrals and local networking
  • Using marketing support and digital tools to grow and sustain the pipeline

The Broker will also stay up to date with lending criteria, regulatory requirements, and market developments to provide accurate and timely advice.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong mortgage advisory and brokerage skills, including experience as Mortgage Brokers and in Brokerage environments.
  • Candidates should possess finance-related skills and knowledge, including Finance principles and Debt Consolidation solutions.
  • Candidates should possess mortgage marketing capabilities, including Mortgage Marketing and client acquisition strategies.
  • CeMAP (or equivalent) qualification and authorisation to advise on regulated mortgage contracts are highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of meeting compliance standards, achieving sales targets, and delivering high-quality client service.
  • Excellent communication, numeracy, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
  • Strong organisational skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently within a hybrid environment.
  • Comfort using CRM systems, digital tools, and online platforms to manage cases, generate leads, and maintain records.
