Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid Mortgage Broker role, based in Ilford with the flexibility to work from home part of the time. The Mortgage Broker will advise clients on mortgage and protection products, assess financial circumstances, and recommend suitable solutions, including options such as debt consolidation when appropriate. The role involves maintaining strong relationships with clients, lenders, and internal stakeholders, as well as supporting business growth through proactive networking and mortgage marketing activities. The Mortgage Broker will also ensure all advice is compliant with regulatory requirements and delivered in a clear, client-focused manner.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Mortgage Brokers and Brokerage, with proven experience advising on residential and buy-to-let mortgages.
- Strong understanding of Finance and Debt Consolidation to assess affordability and structure appropriate lending solutions.
- Knowledge of Mortgage Marketing to help grow a client base through targeted campaigns, networking, and referrals.
- Relevant industry qualifications such as CeMAP (or equivalent) and up-to-date knowledge of UK mortgage regulation and compliance.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills, with a client-centric approach.
- Ability to manage a busy caseload, work to deadlines, and use mortgage sourcing and CRM systems effectively.
- Previous experience in protection products (life, critical illness, income protection) and broader financial services is beneficial.
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working in a hybrid model with both office-based and remote responsibilities.
