Role Description
The Mortgage Broker is a full-time, on-site role based in Canvey Island. This position involves:
- Meeting with clients to assess their financial situation
- Explaining mortgage options
- Recommending appropriate products
- Gathering and verifying documentation
- Preparing mortgage applications
- Liaising with lenders, solicitors, and other stakeholders throughout the approval process

The Mortgage Broker will provide ongoing support to clients, including:

- Debt consolidation advice
- Guidance on remortgaging when appropriate
Day-to-day tasks also include:
- Maintaining accurate records
- Staying up to date with market trends and regulations
- Contributing to local mortgage marketing and business development activities
Qualifications
- Strong mortgage brokerage skills, including experience as a Mortgage Broker and knowledge of Brokerage practices
- Sound understanding of Finance, including mortgage products, interest rates, affordability assessments, and lending criteria
- Experience with Debt Consolidation strategies and the ability to explain implications clearly to clients
- Skills in Mortgage Marketing, including local outreach, relationship building, and basic sales or business development
- Relevant industry certifications or qualifications in mortgage advice, finance, or a related field
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client service skills, with the ability to work ethically and compliantly
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple client cases simultaneously
- Comfort working on-site in Canvey Island and collaborating with local partners and stakeholders
