Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Mortgage Consultant role covering a wide range of areas including Milton Keynes, Buckingham, Banbury, and St Neots. The Mortgage Consultant will advise customers on suitable mortgage products, explain lending options, and guide them through the application and approval process.

Responsibilities include:

- Assessing customer financial circumstances
- Sourcing and recommending appropriate mortgage solutions
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of lender criteria and market developments
- Close collaboration with estate agency colleagues
- Proactive customer follow-up
- Accurate documentation to support a smooth and compliant mortgage journey
The Mortgage Consultant will also be expected to meet performance targets while providing clear, ethical, and customer-focused service.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of the mortgage industry and mortgage products, with the ability to interpret lender requirements and market trends.
- Experience in mortgage lending and finance, including assessing affordability, risk, and suitability of different mortgage solutions.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on clear communication, relationship building, and supporting customers through complex decisions.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CeMAP or equivalent) and a proven record of working in a regulated financial services environment.
- High level of numeracy, attention to detail, and competency with standard office and mortgage sourcing software.
- Ability to work to targets, manage a busy caseload, and collaborate effectively with colleagues in an estate agency setting.
- Previous experience in mortgages, banking, or financial advice is highly beneficial.
