Mortgage & Protection Adviser
Basic Salary: £30,000
Realistic OTE: £50,000–£60,000+
Location: Neath, Wales
Hybrid: 2–3 days in office
About our Client
We’re working with a growing, directly authorised mortgage and protection brokerage that is looking to add an experienced Mortgage & Protection Adviser to its team.
The business operates across the whole of the market and has built a strong reputation for supporting clients with both straightforward and complex property finance requirements. Its client base includes homeowners, landlords, property investors, developers, and self-employed clients.
The brokerage provides advice across a broad range of mortgage and protection solutions, including:
- Residential mortgages
- Buy-to-let and portfolio lending
- Bridging finance
- Commercial finance
- Protection insurance
- Specialist lending
The business has particular expertise in complex cases, property investment, and self-employed clients, giving advisers the opportunity to work on a varied and interesting range of enquiries.
With a strong pipeline of company-generated leads, established introducer relationships, dedicated administration support, and significant investment in technology, this is an opportunity for an adviser to focus on what they do best, providing quality advice and writing business.

- £30,000 basic salary
- Realistic OTE of £50,000–£60,000+
- Uncapped commission based on monthly banked business
- Commission becomes payable once the monthly banking threshold is achieved

Working Hours
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm
- The role is hybrid, with 2–3 days per week in the Neath office and the remainder working remotely
- Weekend work is not required. However, occasional flexibility around client availability is appreciated, with time back provided where appropriate

Desired Experience
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Proactive, driven, and client-focused, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities
- Minimum 18 months’ experience as a mortgage adviser
- CAS – Competent Adviser Status
- Fully CeMAP qualified or equivalent
- Excellent communication and customer services skills
- Proactive, organised, and commercially aware
Responsibilities & Duties
- Advise clients on mortgages and protection products
- Manage cases from enquiry through to completion
- Work with a combination of high-quality company-provided leads and your own introducer relationships
- Liaise with lenders, insurers, and clients to ensure smooth case progression (supported by admin team)
- Ensure all advice is compliant with FCA regulations
- Keep up to date with mortgage products, regulations, and market trends
- Maintain strong client and introducer relationships
