Role Description
The Mortgage & Protection Adviser role is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, combining 2 or 3 days in an office environment around the Chelmsford and Brentwood area, with the remainder of the week working from home. The adviser will speak with clients to assess their financial circumstances, explain mortgage and protection options, and recommend suitable products.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:


Get help with your application

- Conducting detailed affordability and suitability assessments
- Preparing and submitting mortgage applications
- Managing cases through to completion
- Advising on life, income, and other protection products
- Maintaining accurate records
- Ensuring all advice complies with regulatory and company standards
The adviser will work closely with administrators, nurture existing client relationships, and contribute to the growth of the business through high-quality service and professional conduct.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Mortgages and Financial Planning, with the ability to assess client needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Understanding of Finance principles and Mortgage Marketing to support client acquisition and retention.
- CeMAP Qualified (or equivalent mortgage advice qualification), with up-to-date regulatory awareness.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and build trust with diverse clients.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency in using mortgage sourcing systems and standard office software; experience with CRM tools is beneficial.
- Current experience in mortgage or financial advice is required, previous experience in banking, or related financial services is an advantage.
