Job Description: Mortgage Specialist Lending Associate

As a Mortgage Specialist Lending Associate, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our experienced lending specialists with both regulated and non-regulated lending cases, contributing to exceptional client outcomes across our high-net-worth client base. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and commercially minded individual to develop their expertise in specialist lending, working closely with Private Banking, Credit and Operations teams while gaining exposure to complex credit solutions within a highly respected private bank that values empowerment, collaboration, and exceptional client service.
Job Purpose
- To provide operational and administrative support to the Mortgage Specialist Lending Team with their regulated and non-regulated lending cases.
- To enhance the customer experience by supporting the delivery of suitable credit solutions.
- Where applicable, to place the interests of customers at the centre of all activities, act in a way that is consistent with achieving good outcomes for consumers; and.
- To comply with the FCA and PRA's Conduct Rules.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Mortgage Specialist Lending Team to deliver thorough and suitable lending advice to their clients.
- Support the research and data analysis to provide suitable credit solutions.
- Support the preparation of reports and credit submissions in relation to regulated and non-regulated lending.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and proactively manage credit dashboards.
- Use client documentation to analyse and interpret client needs and to support the preparation of affordability analysis from data provided by clients.
- Provide appropriate research material to support client outcomes.
- Deliver a seamless client experience by supporting client contact to manage credit workflow, including attending face-to-face client meetings as appropriate.
- Oversee diary management to ensure timely review and control of credit exposure.
- Monitor the return of Facility letters, and completion of LMF/interest rate/fee forms.

Risk
- Responsible for managing risks inherent to the role by diligently observing internal policies and procedures.
- Administer the Bank’s panel of FCA Regulated Business Introducers to include:
- Keeping CRM up-to-date and accurate.
- Providing detailed and accurate MI on the number of referrals received and paid out from Brokers.
- Support the periodic due diligence and administration needed as part of the Business Introducer Policy.
- Document Management system (VC) to be kept up-to-date and accurate.

Person Specification
Knowledge/Experience/Skills
- Experience working in private banking, ideally with credit knowledge.
- Analytical skills to interpret and draw meaningful conclusions from data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A good understanding of HNW segment and market.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements covering money laundering and criminal activity.
- Appropriate technical knowledge relating to lending products, policy, and appetite.
- Credit stewardship skills.
- The ability to effectively manage your time, accurately prioritise tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Interest in financial markets.
- Knowledge of wealth management and banking products.
- Multi-tasking capability.
- Ability to work under pressure with a heavy workload.
- A good understanding of Banking Systems and be IT literate, and a high understanding of Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role.
