Role Overview

The Mosque Partnerships & Fundraising Coordinator plays a key role in building and maintaining strong relationships with mosques, Islamic institutions, and community stakeholders. The role focuses on delivering impactful fundraising activities, particularly during key periods such as Ramadan and Dhul Hijjah, while developing sustainable partnerships that support long term income generation.

This position requires a proactive, community-focused individual who can engage effectively with imams, mosque committees, volunteers, and donors to maximize income.

Key Responsibilities

Relationship Management

  • Identify, develop, and manage a portfolio of mosque partnerships across specific regions.
  • Build strong relationships with imams, mosque committees, and community leaders.
  • Maintain regular engagement to ensure long term collaboration and retention.
  • Develop partnerships with Islamic schools to support fundraising.

Fundraising & Campaign Delivery

  • Plan and deliver mosque-based fundraising campaigns.
  • Lead collections, Jummah appeals, evening programmes, and tours.
  • Work towards agreed income targets and KPIs.

Volunteer Recruitment & Management

  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support fundraising activities at mosques.
  • Build and maintain a network of community volunteers.
  • Ensure volunteers are effectively deployed and supported at events.

Digital & Marketing Collaboration

  • Work with the marketing team to promote campaigns across social media and digital platforms.
  • Support the creation of fundraising content (videos, messaging, appeals).
  • Help drive online donations alongside in-person collections.

Planning, Reporting & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate records of activity, income, and engagement.
  • Provide regular reports on performance and pipeline.
  • Ensure all fundraising activities comply with UK legislation and Charity Commission guidelines.
  • Manage bookings, schedules, and logistical planning for mosque visits.

Person Specification

Experience & Knowledge

  • 2 years’ experience in fundraising, community engagement, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of the Muslim community and mosque networks.
  • Experience in events or volunteer coordination is desirable.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong relationship building abilities with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proactive and target-driven approach to fundraising.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple activities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and during peak periods (e.g. Ramadan).
  • Ability to travel regularly to mosques across assigned regions.
