Location: Falkirk

Salary: Circa £40,000 per annum, depending on experience

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday

About the Role

ISQ Recruitment is looking for an experienced and qualified MOT Tester to join a well-established automotive dealership in Falkirk.

This is a dedicated MOT testing position focused solely on completing vehicle examinations accurately, efficiently and in accordance with current DVSA regulations. It is an excellent opportunity for a professional Class 4 MOT Tester seeking a stable Monday-to-Friday role within a busy, well-equipped dealership environment.

Responsibilities

Working from a professional MOT testing bay, you will take responsibility for completing scheduled MOT tests while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, compliance and vehicle safety.

  • Carry out Class 4 MOT tests in line with current DVSA standards and procedures
  • Complete Class 7 MOT tests where appropriately qualified
  • Accurately identify and record vehicle defects, failures and advisory items
  • Issue MOT certificates and complete all required DVSA documentation
  • Maintain accurate records using the DVSA MOT testing system
  • Ensure MOT testing equipment is checked, maintained and used correctly
  • Report equipment faults or calibration requirements promptly
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised MOT testing bay
  • Complete the required annual MOT training and assessment
  • Keep up to date with changes to DVSA regulations and testing standards
  • Follow dealership health and safety procedures
  • Communicate test results clearly to the service and workshop teams

What We're Looking For

  • Current and valid DVSA MOT Tester status
  • Qualified and authorised to carry out Class 4 MOT tests
  • Class 7 MOT testing approval would be advantageous
  • Previous experience working as an MOT Tester or Vehicle Examiner
  • Strong knowledge of current DVSA regulations and testing standards
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work accurately within a busy testing schedule
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Full UK driving licence
