MOT Tester
Location: Dover, Kent
Salary: £35,000 Basic
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm, plus 1 in 3 Saturdays

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced MOT Tester to join a busy and established main dealership in the Dover area. This is a great opportunity for a qualified MOT Tester looking to join a supportive workshop with excellent benefits, ongoing training and genuine long-term career progression. The successful MOT Tester will be responsible for carrying out Class 4 MOT tests to DVSA standards, alongside vehicle inspections and light servicing and maintenance when required.

MOT Tester Role
- Carry out Class 4 MOT tests in accordance with current DVSA regulations.
- Complete thorough vehicle inspections and identify any repair requirements.
- Carry out light servicing and maintenance work when required.
- Ensure all MOT testing documentation is completed accurately.
- Maintain full compliance with DVSA standards and procedures.
- Liaise with Vehicle Technicians and Service Advisors regarding identified repairs.
- Carry out road tests when necessary.
- Maintain high levels of productivity while ensuring excellent quality standards.
- Keep the workshop and MOT testing areas clean, organised and compliant with Health & Safety requirements.
MOT Tester Requirements
- Current and valid MOT Tester Licence essential.
- Minimum 2 years' experience working as an MOT Tester.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Good understanding of current DVSA regulations and testing procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience within a dealership or busy workshop environment would be advantageous.
- Professional attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
