About The Role
Based in Widnes, this full-time, permanent position combines MOT testing with general mechanical duties. The working week runs Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 5:00, with a Saturday shift ending at 2:00. A competitive annual salary is offered, negotiable according to experience. You will conduct vehicle inspections, complete servicing, perform diagnostics, and handle repairs across a varied workload. About The Company
The company is expanding and is now recruiting for an experienced MOT Tester & Mechanic to join their friendly team. We are now looking for someone who takes pride in doing a job properly, enjoys working as part of a team and can confidently get stuck into everything from MOTs and servicing to diagnostics and repairs.
We are a well-established local business with a strong reputation and a loyal customer base. As the company continues to grow, we need another skilled pair of hands in the workshop.
About The Role
- Carrying out Class 4 MOT tests to DVSA standards
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of vehicles
- Diagnostics and fault finding
- Brakes, suspension and general mechanical repairs
- Keeping accurate MOT and repair records
- Working alongside our workshop and admin team to keep jobs moving
- Delivering the high standard of workmanship our customers expect

About You
- Ideally, you will already be a qualified MOT Tester with good all-round mechanical experience
- Strong diagnostic skills and comfortable working on modern vehicles
If you are an experienced mechanic and are the right fit for our team, we are willing to put you through your MOT Tester qualification.
