Job Description

They are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified MOT tester or technician to join the team. The successful applicant will be welcomed to join a strong team and a great dealer group.

Reporting directly to the Service Manager and working with colleagues and other teams across the site to provide a high standard of customer service. As MOT tester you will play a vital role in delivery customer satisfaction and helping keep their vehicles and our roads safer.

Key Duties

MOT Testing/Vehicle Technician

  • Complete MOT tests on all makes of passenger and light commercial goods vehicles
  • Perform MOT tests to required standards and regulations
  • Maintain appropriate records
  • Keep up to date with required training
  • Repairs and servicing on all makes of vehicles
  • Diagnostic repairs

  • Provides accurate assessments and reports on the MOT test
  • Schedules work to meet customer requirements
  • Notifies aftersales team of any defective items
  • Produces job card, detailing any special requirements and distributes to the workshop briefing technicians where appropriate
  • Assists with vehicle delivery/collection where needed
  • Co-ordinates MOT test with other servicing requirements to ensure efficiency
  • Assesses and records appropriate information
  • Updates customer database to maintain accurate records

Works as a Full Member of the Team

  • Works with colleagues and other teams across the site to provide a seamless service to customers
  • Ensures opportunities for sales by other teams are followed up by the most appropriate specialist
  • Be willing to get stuck in and help the team when needed
