Job Title: MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician
Location: Nottingham (NG2 3GZ)
Salary: £40,000 base salary + bonus scheme (OTE £46,000+)
Working Hours: 8:30am 5:30pm (Mon-Fri) | 8:00am 5:00pm (Sat)
Schedule: 5 days per week, Monday to Saturday (includes a fixed day off during the week)
Contek Recruitment Solutions are collaborating with our client who are a Fast Fit Auto Centre and who pride themselves on delivering clear, friendly, and honest service to our customer base. They operate modern, clean, and well-equipped workshops designed to make life easier for both our drivers and our technicians. They are currently looking for a qualified MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician to join their busy Nottingham team.
The Role
As an MOT Tester and Technician, you will be key to keeping our local customers safe and on the road. You'll handle a balance of class 4 MOT testing alongside routine servicing, repairs, and diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting MOT tests to DVSA standards on a wide variety of customer vehicles.
- Performing routine servicing, maintenance, and vehicle safety checks.
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
- Carrying out repairs including brakes, suspension, tyres, and minor engine work.
- Maintaining accurate digital job cards and communicating clearly with the Service Manager.
- Ensuring the workshop remains clean, safe, and compliant with H&S regulations.
What We're Looking For
- Valid DVSA MOT License (Class 4 active tester status is essential).
- NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent experience/qualification).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- A strong work ethic with good attention to detail and a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to work comfortably both independently and as part of a busy team.
