This is a full-time, on-site MOT Tester role based at Formula One Autocentres in Evesham. The MOT Tester will carry out MOT tests in line with current regulations and company procedures, ensuring vehicles meet safety and environmental standards. Daily tasks include conducting thorough inspections, accurately recording test results, and advising customers on any required repairs or maintenance. The role also involves working closely with technicians and service advisors, maintaining testing equipment, and supporting general workshop duties when needed. The MOT Tester is expected to uphold high standards of customer service, safety, and compliance at all times.

Qualifications

  • Recognized MOT Tester qualification and current authorization, with strong knowledge of relevant testing standards and regulations.
  • Hands-on experience in vehicle inspection, diagnostics, and basic mechanical repair within an automotive service or fast-fit environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, record-keeping, and use of MOT testing systems and related software.
  • Customer service and communication skills to explain test results and repair needs clearly and professionally.
  • Ability to work safely in a workshop environment, follow procedures, and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record; willingness to undertake ongoing training and certification updates.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional automotive or technical qualifications are an advantage.
