MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician - Shrewsbury

Are you a qualified MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician looking for a permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary, ongoing training and no Sundays or Bank Holidays?
We are recruiting for an experienced MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician to join a busy automotive service centre in Shrewsbury.

This is a varied, hands-on role combining MOT testing with servicing, diagnostics and mechanical repairs across a wide range of makes and models.

The Role

  • Carry out MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations
  • Vehicle servicing and general maintenance
  • Diagnostics and mechanical repairs
  • Inspect brakes, steering, suspension, tyres, lights, emissions and exhaust systems
  • Brake, tyre and wheel alignment work where required
  • Accurately complete MOT documentation and job cards
  • Identify defects and required remedial work
  • Maintain excellent standards of workmanship and Health & Safety

About You

  • Valid MOT Tester licence - essential
  • Vehicle Technician qualification and relevant experience
  • Strong hands-on mechanical and diagnostic skills
  • Experience within a fast-fit centre, garage or recognised dealership
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points

Salary & Benefits

  • £34,000 - £36,000 depending on experience
  • 44 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday plus Saturday morning - finish at 12pm
  • No Sundays
