About Us
Saffron is a brand consultancy of 100 people with 21 nationalities and 12 languages. From our offices London, Madrid, Tokyo and Vienna, we work as one team integrating identity and interaction to create real value for brands around the world.
The Role
You are a creative leader, responsible for shaping the quality and direction of motion across the business. You will lead a cross-office team of 2D and 3D motion designers, working closely with our CCO, Creative Directors, Design Leads, Strategy and Client Services teams.
You will help define how brands move, translating strategy and creative ambition into distinctive motion systems and experiences, while developing the team, partnering with clients and growing motion as a core part of Saffron’s wider offering.
What you’ll do
- Lead the motion and CG practice. Be the go-to creative leader for motion and CG across Saffron, setting the standard for quality, craft, consistency and innovation.
- Shape how brands move. Translate strategic and creative ambition into distinctive motion principles, behaviours and systems, ensuring motion is fully integrated into wider brand, design and digital ecosystems.
- Direct high-quality creative work. Oversee projects ranging from motion systems and brand films to CG image libraries and broader moving-image experiences, continually pushing the quality and ambition of the work.
- Lead and develop the team. Manage and nurture a multidisciplinary team of 2D and 3D motion designers, setting clear creative direction, supporting their development and creating the conditions for them to do their best work.
- Partner with clients. Lead conversations around motion, guiding clients confidently through the creative process and positioning it as a strategic tool that can shape perception, engagement and experience.
- Collaborate across disciplines. Work closely with Creative Directors, Design Leads, Strategy, Client Services to ensure motion is considered from the outset and seamlessly integrated into our work.
- Manage resources and delivery. Oversee the day-to-day running of the motion team, working with project and client leads to ensure the right resources are in place and work is delivered to the highest standard.
- Grow the practice. Shape the motion and CG offering for new business, identify opportunities to expand the role of motion within existing client relationships, and continue developing it as a core part of Saffron’s wider offering.

About you
A senior motion creative. You have substantial experience leading high-quality motion work within a branding, design or creative environment, with the creative judgement and credibility to set direction at a senior level.
- Broadly skilled across motion and CG. You have a strong understanding of editing, 2D motion and 3D/CG, and know how to bring together the right combination of craft, people and specialist expertise for each project. Experience with live action, in-camera work, generative or procedural graphics would be a plus.
- Brand-led in your thinking. You understand motion as more than execution. You can connect brand strategy, narrative and design thinking to define how a brand should move, behave and feel.
- A confident creative leader. You know how to raise the ambition of the work while giving teams clarity, direction and space to grow.
- Client-facing and persuasive. You are comfortable presenting ideas, defending creative decisions and helping senior clients understand the strategic and creative value of motion.
- Commercially minded. You can identify opportunities, contribute to scopes and proposals, and think about how to grow motion as both a creative discipline and an important part of the business.
- A natural collaborator. You enjoy working across disciplines, offices and cultures, and know how to bring different perspectives together around a shared creative ambition.
