Freelance Motion Graphics Designer

A creative services agency is looking for a freelance Motion Graphics Designer to execute motion work across a batch of overflow video projects.

This is a 3 to 4-week engagement to help the agency’s motion team get through five explainer videos and two sizzles sitting on top of their day-to-day output.

What you’ll be doing

  • Execute motion work across five explainer videos and two sizzle videos
  • Work under a senior motion designer who handles setup, style, and overall direction
  • Deliver clean, polished UX and graphic-style motion aligned to the gold standard set by the lead
  • Pick up the executional load so the senior can focus on direction and setup
  • Hit timelines reliably across a 3 to 4 week window, with possible extension

What you’ll need

  • Proven freelance motion graphics experience, ideally agency-side
  • Strong After Effects craft with a portfolio of UX and graphic-style explainer work
  • Comfortable executing against someone else’s direction and style setup without needing to put your own stamp on it
  • Reliable, methodical, and happy taking a lead’s cues from day one
  • Available from roughly w/c 19 October for 3 to 4 weeks, with flexibility to extend
  • Outside IR35 setup

Nice to have

  • Work in a style comparable to Adam Cant’s explainer/UX motion craft
  • Experience across brand or product explainer campaigns
  • Comfortable moving between explainer and sizzle formats
