Are you a criminal law Solicitor ready to take the next step into private practice? Join our specialist Crime & Regulatory Team and work alongside Tim Ingram on a broad range of motor crime cases—from road traffic offences through to dangerous driving, serious injury and manslaughter matters.

About the Role:

This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you’ll support cases from initial incident through to conclusion. You’ll be involved in real-time investigations, police station attendance, and court proceedings—gaining invaluable exposure to complex, high-stakes cases.

  • Reviewing and analysing prosecution evidence
  • Drafting witness statements and legal submissions
  • Supporting clients through investigations and proceedings
  • Attending police station interviews under caution
  • Liaising with courts, regulators and expert witnesses
  • Preparing defence case statements, reports and bundles
  • Attending trials and inquests alongside Counsel
  • Conducting legal research and case preparation
  • Visiting incident sites and gathering evidence

What we're looking for

  • âś… Qualified Solicitor with motor crime or criminal law experience
  • âś… Ideal for NQ–1 PQE (with 6–12 months’ criminal experience)
  • âś… Background in legal aid/criminal defence highly desirable
  • âś… Strong organisation and attention to detail
  • âś… Confident communicator with excellent client care skills
  • âś… Resilient, calm under pressure, and adaptable
  • âś… Willingness to travel to police stations and courts
