Location – Maidstone
Salary – Negotiable + bonus + benefits
Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Motor Fleet Executive to develop our Commercial Motor Fleet proposition within our professional and welcoming Maidstone office.
Brown & Brown offers high‑quality, specialist insurance solutions to Personal and Commercial clients throughout the UK. We continue to achieve excellent customer satisfaction and retention by focusing on long‑term relationships and delivering tailored, technically robust advice.
This role is ideal for an established fleet professional with strong technical knowledge, looking to take ownership of a sizeable fleet portfolio and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.
The role may also be suitable for someone with a strong motor fleet insurance background who is looking to take the next step up in their career, moving into a role with greater responsibility, leadership exposure, and ownership of a fleet portfolio. You will be responsible for managing a profitable fleet book, working closely with Account Executives, insurers, clients. This is a long‑term opportunity within a ‘forever company’ offering stability, progression, and investment in your development.

Key Responsibilities / Day to Day
- Overall management of the Commercial Motor Fleet account portfolio.
- Acting as senior technical referral point for complex fleet risks and placements.
- Maintaining strong relationships with insurers, negotiating terms, premiums, and cover.
- Supporting Account Executives with new business, renewals, and client presentations.
- Ensuring policy documentation, endorsements, warranties, and cover are accurate and compliant.
- Overseeing mid‑term adjustments and renewal processes.
- Driving service excellence and ensuring KPIs are consistently met.
- Identifying cross‑selling and growth opportunities across the wider Brown & Brown proposition.
- Effectively managing workloads, diaries, and priorities.

Experience required
- Significant experience within Commercial Motor Fleet insurance (broker or insurer).
- Proven ability to manage insurance portfolios.
- Strong technical knowledge of fleet underwriting, placement, and market dynamics.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
- High attention to detail with a strong compliance mindset.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively while confidently taking ownership and accountability.
