Overview

Destination Motorcycles is growing. We are creating a new MOT and Service Centre within our Christchurch supersite and are recruiting a Technician, MOT Technician and Master.

Birchwood Group is a large, privately owned, people-first business representing sixteen motor brands across Sussex, Hampshire and Dorset. Destination Motorcycles includes Triumph, KTM, Husqvarna, GASGAS, Destination Approved Used, All-Makes Servicing and Motorcycle Rental.

You will join a modern, air-conditioned workshop using current diagnostic equipment, with a team that values high standards, positive attitudes and genuine enthusiasm for customers and motorcycles.

Your Duties

Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Diagnose and repair motorcycle faults.
  • Carry out servicing and maintenance to manufacturer standards.
  • Complete electrical and mechanical repairs.
  • Ensure all work meets warranty and quality requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with the aftersales team to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Maintain workshop standards and compliance procedures.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

  • NVQ Level 3 Motorcycle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
  • Experience working on modern motorcycles.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full motorcycle licence is essential.
  • Positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for motorcycles.

Working Hours

  • 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 08:30 - 17.00, Saturday working as and when required (paid as overtime for hours worked)

Location

  • Christchurch, Dorset

Salary

  • £30,000-32,000 basic depending on experience, plus bonus (£3,600)
