Job Description

This Intern role will encompass varying tasks including:

Business Development

  • Assist in identifying business opportunities with existing and prospective customers:
    • Track regulations across all UK-based race series to identify and support future tender opportunities.
    • Monitor competitor activities and product launches to ensure we remain competitive.
    • Support the development of business cases for new technologies and product opportunities, including projects within top-level motorsport.
  • Support the growth of the Bosch Motorsport dealership network:
    • Help increase dealership sales through marketing activities, website improvements, regular communication, and strong collaboration.
    • Research and identify potential new dealership partners.
    • Gain an understanding of Defence, Marine and Off-Road markets and how motorsport technologies can be applied in other industries. The Defence sector is a key growth area with significant future opportunities.

Event Coordination

  • Assist with the planning and organisation of customer visits, technical workshops, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Engage with customers and industry contacts ahead of trade shows to coordinate meetings and maximise networking opportunities.
  • Coordinate attendee lists, event logistics, and post-event follow-up activities.
  • Support the delivery of major trade show and exhibition activities.

Technical Request Support

  • Work closely with engineering teams to gather information needed to respond to customer enquiries.
  • Help translate technical information into clear customer-facing presentations, summaries, and documents.
  • Track customer requirements and ensure they are communicated effectively to the appropriate internal teams.

Customer Satisfaction

  • Maintain customer action trackers to ensure commitments and follow-up actions are completed on time.
  • Support customer satisfaction initiatives, including customer feedback and survey activities.

Administration Support

  • Prepare customer presentations, briefing materials, and pre-meeting documentation ahead of customer meetings and events.
  • Support the preparation of customer quotations.
  • Record meeting minutes and capture key actions from customer meetings.
  • Coordinate follow-up actions and distribute relevant information to stakeholders.
  • Prepare customer-friendly summaries to ensure a clear understanding of discussions and agreed actions.
  • Support the management and tracking of Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
  • Assist with forecasting and business planning activities.

Qualifications

Key criteria:

  • Passion for motorsport, engineering, technology, or business.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and keen to learn new skills.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

Additional Information

This is a 12-month internship beginning in July 2027. This position is open to undergraduate students who are eligible to partake in a work placement as part of their university course.

Location: you will be based at the Nuneaton office.

As an Intern at Bosch, you will participate in an exclusive learning and development programme called the BUILD Programme designed to support you through your internship journey. It includes a mixture of in-person and virtual sessions on topics including Effective Communication and Leading Myself provided by expert external trainers.

Interview Process and Right to Work Information

Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to participate in a face-to-face interview by the hiring team and/or an online assessment centre.

You must have the right to live and work in the UK when you start your placement and for the full duration of your placement. Please note your placement must be directly relevant to your course to comply with visa requirements.

Before attending an interview for this position you must inform your Faculty/School Placement Officer and we strongly suggest you check you are eligible for a placement before you apply. If your Faculty/School does not have a Placement Officer, you must inform your course tutor.
