MOULDING OPERATIVE
SOUTH QUEENSFERRY
£31,370 DOE (INCLUDING SHIFT ALLOWANCE)
2 SHIFT PATTERN:
- Morning: Monday to Thursday, 05:30 - 14:45
- Afternoon: Monday to Thursday, 14:30 - 23:45
Progress Rail Services UK is looking to recruit a Moulding Operative to ensure that the safety and production procedures within the moulding shop are carried out in accordance with the relevant risk assessments and work instructions.
THE ROLE:
As a Moulding Operative you will be required to:
- Maintain and promote a safe and tidy working environment in accordance with company and legislative requirements
- Operate in accordance with the Company Quality Assurance System and help to improve/develop processes
- Solve production problems and continuously improve in all areas of operation
- Structure and prioritise work in a logical and orderly manner to achieve business & personal objectives
- Work within Health, Safety & Environmental procedures
- Ensure the accurate use of the Time & Attendance systems
- Respond professionally and innovatively to satisfy the needs of internal and external customers, ensuring that quality standards are never conceded
- Actively reduce the incident rate, of Non-Conforming errors within the team
- Create a “Clean-as-you-go” policy and maintains W.I.P. and stock areas
- Ensure plant and equipment is maintained safely and fit for purpose, reporting and resolving defects
- Show willingness to be trained in other production areas
- Carry out any other duties deemed reasonable by the business

THE CANDIDATE:
The ideal Moulding Operative:
- Knowledge of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality regulations
- Reliable
- Team player
- Ability to prioritise and work under pressure to deadlines and targets
- Excellent attention to detail
