We are recruiting for a Moulding Preparation Operative to join a busy manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on opportunity for a practical and hardworking Moulding Preparation Operative who takes pride in producing high-quality work.
As a Moulding Preparation Operative, you will be responsible for supporting the preparation, assembly, and finishing of moulded components, working closely with the wider production team to meet production requirements and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
As a Moulding Preparation Operative, your duties will include:
- Preparing mouldings ready for the next stage of production.
- Assisting with the assembly and finishing of moulded parts.
- Carrying out preparation and bonding work.
- Cutting, grinding, and flow coating components.
- Assisting with the production of sub-assemblies.
- Following instructions from the Team Leader and Line Supervisor.
- Ensuring all work meets required quality and workmanship standards.
- Using hand tools and workshop power tools safely and effectively.
- Supporting other areas of production when required.
- Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organised workstation.
- Following all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
- Supporting the training of new Moulding Preparation Operatives when required.

Skills & Experience
The ideal Moulding Preparation Operative will have:
- 2+ years' experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or similar practical environment.
- Alternatively, an Engineering BTEC qualification with relevant practical experience.
- Experience using conventional hand tools and workshop power tools.
- A practical and hands-on approach.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A strong focus on quality and good workmanship.
- The ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong organisation and time-management skills.
- A positive can-do attitude and strong work ethic.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
