Company Description
Reliant Rubber Engineers Ltd is a British manufacturer based in Batley, West Yorkshire. We produce precision-engineered rubber products and provide specialist refurbishment services for customers across a range of industries. Our growing moulding department uses compression and injection moulding to manufacture bespoke components, from one-offs and small batches to repeat and higher-volume orders. We continue to invest in our people, equipment, and manufacturing capability.
Role Description
We are looking for a hands-on Moulding Production Lead to take day-to-day ownership of our rubber moulding department. This is a permanent, full-time, shop-floor leadership role based in Batley.
Working with the Production Manager and Head of Production & Works, you will:

- Organise workloads
- Allocate people and machinery across compression and injection moulding
- Keep orders moving to the required quality and delivery standards
You will lead and support the moulding team, communicate daily priorities, maintain safe working practices, and respond to issues such as machine breakdowns, material shortages, and quality concerns. You will also:
- Monitor waste
- Maintain an organized production area
- Help improve processes, tooling, and ways of working
This role offers the opportunity to take genuine ownership of an important and developing area of the business.
Experience
We are looking for someone with previous experience leading or supervising a team in a manufacturing or production environment, alongside a practical understanding of machinery, production processes, and shop-floor problem-solving.

You should be able to:

- Set clear standards for quality, productivity, safety, and on-time delivery
Strong communication skills are essential, as you will work closely with the moulding team, production colleagues, and management.
Experience with rubber moulding, including compression or injection moulding, would be particularly relevant. We also value a hands-on approach, the ability to coach others, and a willingness to improve how work is carried out.
Hours
We operate a 4-day working week within our factory at Batley.
Monday - Thursday 07:00 - 17:30
