Role Overview

As an MP Recruitment Advisor, you’ll be part of our awesome 5-star Recruitment team, acting as the main point of contact for potential Management Partners and key stakeholders across the MP division. You’ll support candidates from the early stages of their recruitment journey through the wider process, delivering first-class customer service through clear communication, trusted guidance and helpful advice. By creating a positive, professional and engaging experience, you’ll help ensure every interested party receives the best possible support.

Accountabilities

  • Critically assess the suitability of potential 5 star MPs through screening and virtual interview methods.
  • Ownership & accountability for pub vacancies within the MP / Unity division across the aligned region.
  • Actively source candidates through different channels (LinkedIn / Caterer) and match them to the right pub opportunities, aligning their own motivations and profile to the relevant pubs.
  • Proactively review the PLM database to match applicants to the right opportunities and to manage and nurture talent pools.
  • Taking ownership of aligned candidate profiles in the recruitment system (Punch Lead Management) and ensure they are regularly updated both for internal use and stakeholders.
  • Positively communicate our offer to both internal and external parties and ensure the right messaging goes out to the market.
  • Provide support and guidance to all Punch applicants coupled with relevant insight to the pub industry and competitors.
  • Fulfil vacancy requirements in a timely manner, ensuring that the person specification matches each diverse brief of the pub which you are recruiting for.
  • Look for opportunities to positively challenge historical processes and practices that may provide better solutions with an awareness of the competition and their processes.
  • Take ownership of your day-to-day tasks and provide solutions for optimisation and oversee the recruitment process and provide valuable insights and data to relevant stakeholders.
  • Positively escalate and report on continued non-compliance.
  • Push back on operations teams where necessary to ensure the very best partners are being considered for current and future vacancies whilst managing to the highest standards of the candidate journey to ensure overall success.
  • Proactively seek to gain information on the pub opportunity to gain a greater understanding of the business and to appropriately advise candidates.
  • Working closely with Recruitment Managers to ensure the candidates receives first class experience from the initial enquiry through to application, interview and offer stages.
  • Communicate & coordinate attraction events and support and attend events when required.
  • Work together alongside your immediate colleagues to achieve the overall departmental objective.
  • Creation and execution of job adverts based on recruitment briefs taken from Ops Managers.
  • Be open to work with the wider recruitment team and other departments to ensure the best and most efficient ways of working, understanding the overall business and constantly seek to improve knowledge.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future recruitment requirements, supporting workforce and succession planning activity.
  • Produce and share recruitment insights, market intelligence, and activity updates to support recruitment planning and decision making.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the recruitment function, identifying opportunities to enhance candidate attraction, engagement, and recruitment processes.
  • Create compelling and engaging job advertisements that effectively showcase opportunities and attract high-calibre candidates from target talent markets.
  • Support recruitment marketing activity through the creation and promotion of engaging social media content to attract and engage target candidate audiences.
  • Undertake any other duties reasonably requested which are commensurate with the level and responsibilities of the role.
  • Support Recruitment Managers with recruitment administration, system management, attraction activity, and wider recruitment projects as required.

Person Specification – Technical Competencies/Professional expertise

  • Experience within recruitment/talent acquisitions or sales role (hospitality sector desirable)
  • Knowledge of different direct-sourcing methods using a CRM system
  • Ability to communicate and manage expectations at all levels of the business i.e. Operations Directors and Operations Managers
  • Managing stakeholders’ expectations and positively feeding back
  • Planning and organising - capable of planning and managing time with stretching deadlines and manages own workload effectively
  • Teamwork – willing to always support and encourage other colleagues
  • Customer Focus – deliver epic hospitality through a first-class customer service
  • Flexibility - is receptive and positive towards change and adapts approach as required
  • Understanding of Hospitality / Retail industry is also desirable but by no means essential
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail of processes and admin tasks
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and workflow processes
  • Great communication (both verbal and written) and relationship building skills
