MPS Support Engineer – Media Production Services

Location: London – hybrid, approximately three days per week onsite

Contract: 12 months

Pay rate: £352 per day PAYE

Anticipated start: September

Working pattern: Five working days per week, with occasional rota changes to support global coverage

The Role

We are recruiting an experienced MPS Support Engineer to join the Media Production Services team of a leading global entertainment and streaming organisation.

The team supports the internal platforms, applications and technologies that enable productions to move media securely through the production and post-production lifecycle. These systems are business-critical and are used by internal teams and external production partners around the world.

This is a technically focused support role centred on troubleshooting, incident triage and keeping productions operational. You will investigate issues, take ownership of incidents and work closely with specialist engineering teams when escalation is required.

Previous experience with the organisation’s internal systems is not required. Comprehensive onboarding and technical training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support internal Media Production Services platforms and applications.
  • Investigate, triage and resolve technical incidents affecting production and post-production workflows.
  • Provide responsive, production-facing support to internal teams and external production partners.
  • Take ownership of incidents from initial investigation through resolution or escalation.
  • Troubleshoot issues involving media ingest, automated file transfers, media management, editorial workflows and content delivery.
  • Monitor platform activity, workflow health and automated media-transfer processes.
  • Proactively identify potential issues before they affect productions.
  • Escalate complex technical problems to specialist Product and Engineering teams.
  • Maintain clear and accurate incident records, troubleshooting notes and support documentation.
  • Identify recurring issues and contribute to improvements in tools, processes and support workflows.
  • Collect feedback from users and share actionable insights with Product and Engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across London, Madrid, New York, Los Angeles, Mumbai, Korea and São Paulo.
  • Learn internal platforms, systems and support processes through structured onboarding.
  • Help ensure productions remain operational by resolving issues quickly and communicating clearly.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
