MRO Manager

At DART Aerospace, our MRO operation supports customers who depend on reliable, airworthy equipment. We’re looking for an MRO Manager who can lead the operation, strengthen delivery performance and develop the leaders responsible for day-to-day execution.
This is a hands-on leadership role with ownership of the annual operating plan and performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People. You’ll turn customer demand into realistic plans, keep work moving through the operation and make sure delivery commitments are backed by accurate forecasts.
Your Impact
- Deliver for customers: Own turnaround time (TAT), output and on-time delivery. Maintain a clear view of work in progress (WIP), constraints and expected completion dates.
- Improve operational flow: Align capacity, skills and equipment with demand. Remove bottlenecks across inspection, repair, overhaul, testing and release.
- Build a strong management rhythm: Establish daily performance reviews with clear measures, decisions, owners and deadlines. Identify risks early and lead recovery plans when performance falls behind.
- Protect quality and compliance: Ensure work follows approved technical data, customer requirements and applicable UK CAA/EASA Part 145 approvals. Improve Right First Time performance and close audit and corrective actions effectively.
- Lead safety and people: Set visible standards for HSE, COSHH, risk assessments and safe working practices. Coach Group and Team Leaders, develop future capability and address performance issues consistently.
- Work across the business: Partner with Planning, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality and Sales to resolve delivery constraints and support new repair capabilities.
- Manage commercial performance: Understand how TAT, productivity, overtime, rework and WIP affect revenue, margin, working capital and customer satisfaction.

What You Bring
- You have led sizeable operational teams through supervisors or team leaders in aerospace MRO, aerospace manufacturing or a similarly regulated engineering environment. You can point to measurable improvements in delivery, productivity, quality or safety, and you know how to sustain those gains through clear routines and accountable leadership.
- You’ll also bring:
- Strong command of TAT, WIP, capacity planning and operational performance measures.
- Experience applying Lean or continuous improvement in a live operation.
- Knowledge of UK CAA/EASA Part 145 requirements and aerospace quality systems.
- Sound HSE judgment and a practical approach to problem solving.
- The ability to communicate clearly with customers, cross-functional partners and senior leaders.

Knowledge of AS9100, experience with SAP or another ERP/MRP system, and an engineering or operations qualification are welcome.
