MRP Controller Opportunity at Refresco

This is an exciting opportunity to join Refresco as an MRP Controller following an internal promotion. You’ll play a vital role in keeping our production running smoothly by scheduling the delivery of raw materials to our UK sites, balancing stock levels with production needs.

This role is key to supporting the existing team as they attend project meetings, giving you the chance to make a real impact in a fast-paced, supportive environment while developing your supply chain and planning expertise.

The Role

Reporting to the Materials Purchasing Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring that the production schedule is achieved through effective ordering and delivery of materials to sites. The MRP Coordinator's role is to schedule the delivery of raw materials to support the production plan, whilst working within agreed target stock levels across all UK sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and execute MRP requirements to meet production plans.
  • Identify and resolve material shortages, expediting orders as needed.
  • Investigate shortages, implement corrective actions, and escalate if required.
  • Monitor overdue deliveries and follow up with suppliers.
  • Manage stock levels, forward orders, and site-to-site transfers to prevent overstocking and obsolescence.
  • Provide forecasts to suppliers and stock data for project managers.
  • Monitor expiring batches and adjust production to minimize waste.
  • Attend supplier meetings and support continuous improvement projects.
  • Maintain MRP Master Data in SAP/IREN for efficiency and automation.
  • Support MRP Administrator with OTIF data, RORI, and holiday coverage

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate would have:

  • Experience in MRP or Supply Chain planning
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability
  • Proficient in IT, especially Excel and SAP
