  • Permanent – Life Sciences

Our client, a specialty pharmaceutical company based in the South of the UK, is looking for an MSAT Principal Scientist. Experts in their field, they have a focus on the central nervous systems, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, and rare diseases, identifying difficult-to-manufacture therapeutic products and working with trusted partners to get them to the market.

What You’ll Deliver

  • Lead site-to-site technology transfer activities for manufacturing, analytical testing, and packaging operations, ensuring seamless product and process transitions.
  • Drive complex technical projects by managing timelines, budgets, risks, deliverables, and cross-functional stakeholder teams.
  • Partner with CMOs/CDMOs to ensure reliable execution, operational excellence, and the development of strong, collaborative supplier relationships.
  • Investigate and resolve manufacturing and quality issues, including deviations, change controls, CAPAs, and root-cause investigations to maintain compliance and product supply.

What you’ll need:

  • Extensive hands-on experience leading site-to-site technology transfers, with broad expertise across pharmaceutical manufacturing, QC testing, and packaging operations, including serialization programmes.
  • Strong technical knowledge across a diverse range of small-molecule dosage forms, including sterile products, solid oral dosage forms, capsules, creams, gels, and ointments.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects, including multiple site-to-site technology transfers from initiation through commercial implementation.
  • Global experience supporting the manufacture, registration, supply, and distribution of pharmaceutical products, working across international markets and regulatory environments.
