AgileSource are looking for a skilled Cyber Security professional to join our Managed Security Centre, specialising in Microsoft Purview and Insider Risk Management.
📍 Location: Fully Remote
🕒 Working Hours: South Africa (SA) Time Zone
📄 Contract Opportunity - OUTSIDE IR35
This is an opportunity to work within a highly technical security team responsible for identifying insider threats, protecting sensitive business data, and supporting enterprise clients across complex Microsoft 365 environments.
You'll investigate potential insider risk incidents, analyse security events, and work alongside senior engineers to continually improve detection capabilities while ensuring compliance with industry security standards.

- Investigating insider risk alerts across Microsoft Purview.
- Analysing user activity to identify potential data security risks.
- Supporting the response to suspected data exfiltration and policy breaches.
- Working with technical teams to improve detection rules and reduce false positives.
- Producing clear investigation reports for both technical and business stakeholders.
- Maintaining accurate case documentation and supporting audit requirements.
- Collaborating with clients throughout complex investigations.
What We're Looking For
You'll ideally have experience working within a Security Operations Centre, Managed Security Service, or Cyber Security team, together with hands-on knowledge of Microsoft security technologies.
You'll also bring:

- Experience with Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance tools.
- Familiarity with Entra ID, Purview DLP and Microsoft Audit Logs.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills.
- Excellent communication and report writing abilities.
- A passion for improving security processes and protecting organisational data.
Desirable Certifications
- Microsoft SC-200
- Microsoft SC-401
- CDPSE (or a willingness to achieve this)
