Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site role for an MSK Physiotherapist based in Winsford. The role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating a range of musculoskeletal conditions, using evidence-based manual therapy, exercise prescription, and rehabilitation techniques. Day-to-day tasks include conducting initial and follow-up appointments, developing individualized treatment plans, maintaining accurate clinical records, and monitoring patient progress. The MSK Physiotherapist will collaborate with other health and wellness professionals, provide education on injury prevention and self-management, and support patients in achieving functional goals. The role may include occasional involvement in service development, quality improvement, and community outreach activities.

Qualifications

  • Recognized degree in Physiotherapy and current registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., HCPC or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience in musculoskeletal assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, including exercise-based rehabilitation and manual therapy techniques.
  • Strong clinical reasoning, problem-solving, and evidence-based practice skills, with the ability to develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach and the ability to build trust with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills, including accurate documentation and the ability to manage a varied caseload in a part-time schedule.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in an on-site clinical environment.
  • Basic IT skills for managing electronic notes, scheduling, and reporting; familiarity with clinical software is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in private practice or community physiotherapy and relevant postgraduate training in MSK physiotherapy are beneficial.
