Company Description

PhysioCare & Sports Injury Clinic is a long-established physiotherapy provider on the Isle of Wight. The clinic focuses on delivering a personal, high-quality service to help individuals return to fitness as quickly and safely as possible. The team treats a wide range of conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation, musculoskeletal and acute injuries. The clinic also provides a community home visit service and treats neurological conditions including Parkinson's & MS. In addition, the clinic offers various treatment modalities including shockwave therapy and ultrasound-guided injection therapy.

Role Description

This full-time MSK Physiotherapist (Maternity Cover) role is based on-site in Ryde for a 9-month period. The position involves providing high-quality assessments and treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, with effective implementation of manual therapy and rehabilitation programs. This will include the treatment and management of post-operative patients and those with sports-related injuries, using evidence-based physiotherapy techniques. Daily tasks include conducting thorough clinical assessments, developing and implementing individual treatment plans, maintaining accurate clinical notes, and monitoring patient progress.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of effectively engaging patients in physiotherapy and rehabilitation while effectively monitoring patient progress. The role also requires participation in promotional activities to engage the local community and promote the clinic's services, as well as contributing to the smooth running of the clinic and supporting high standards and patient experience.

Qualifications

  • Professional physiotherapy qualifications, such as a degree in Physiotherapy and current registration with HCPC & CSP.
  • BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience.
  • Genuine team player with a proactive approach to their work.
  • Demonstrated experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, including assessment, treatment planning, manual therapy, exercise prescription, and rehabilitation for post-operative and sports injury patients.
  • Strong clinical reasoning, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills, with an evidence-based approach to practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build rapport with patients.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to manage a clinical caseload, maintain accurate records, and work independently in a busy clinic environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in MSK and sports physiotherapy.
  • Experience in private practice or outpatient settings and familiarity with digital systems for booking and documentation is advantageous.
