Company Description
Imagintal is a private provider of prenatal ultrasound scanning services, supporting expectant parents throughout pregnancy with a range of gestation-specific scans. Services include Early Reassurance Scans from 6 weeks to date the pregnancy, Gender Scans from 16 weeks to identify fetal sex, and 4D Scans from 24 weeks to offer detailed imaging. The clinic also offers non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) to screen for chromosomal conditions such as Down’s, Edwards’, and Patau’s syndromes. In addition, Imaginatal provides well-woman scans for individuals undergoing fertility treatments, creating a supportive environment for reproductive health and prenatal care.
Role Description
The MSK Sonographer will perform musculoskeletal ultrasound examinations, ensuring accurate imaging and clear documentation to support clinical decision-making. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

The role involves maintaining strict adherence to clinical governance, infection control, and data protection standards, as well as contributing to continuous service improvement. This is a Locum on adhoc bases on-site position based at Imaginatal’s clinic in Bristol, requiring regular patient-facing work and professional communication with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
- Foundational medical knowledge and clinical experience in Medicine and Radiology relevant to ultrasound practice.
- Certification or eligibility for registration with professional bodies such as American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and/or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or equivalent national credentials.
- Competence in performing vascular and MSK ultrasound examinations, including image acquisition, optimization, and preliminary interpretation.
- Recognized sonography qualification (e.g., degree or diploma in medical ultrasound or radiography) and current professional registration with an appropriate regulatory body.
- Strong patient-centered communication skills, ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting, and commitment to high standards of safety and quality.
