MSP Sales Engineer

About Mimecast

The work people build is worth protecting, and it's harder to protect than it used to be. AI agents now move at machine speed with human-level access, and a small slip-up can become a very public one. We disrupt cybercriminal activity before that happens. We think fast, go big, and always demand more of ourselves. We work hard, deliver, and repeat. We grow with real determination and put success well within reach. We push each other to be better and expect to be pushed back, in a community built on respect, where everyone is counted. Work Protected.

Overview

Based in London with a hybrid working arrangement, the MSP Sales Engineer is responsible for driving technical enablement and pre-sales support for Managed Service Provider (MSP) partners. You will build technical competency within partner organisations through training, workshops, enablement programmes, and close alignment with the technical stakeholders involved in Mimecast’s strategic MSP Partner Business Plans.

Acting as a trusted technical advisor, you will bridge the gap between product capabilities and partner needs to support deal success, independent technical sales motions, and sustainable partner growth.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver technical training, workshops, and enablement sessions to MSP partners in one-to-one and group settings.
  • Guide MSP partners in building self-service demo capabilities and executing independent product demonstrations and technical sales processes.
  • Provide pre-sales technical guidance on solution design, proof-of-concept initiatives, and technical objections throughout the sales process.
  • Support MSP Territory Managers with the technical expertise needed to close deals and align solutions with partner needs.
  • Collaborate with technical stakeholders at key MSP partners and support the Channel Account Manager in delivering the technical elements of partner business plans.
  • Act as a liaison between MSP technical teams and internal product, engineering, and support teams to address partner needs and challenges.
  • Build trusted relationships with partner technical teams and keep them informed about product updates, feature releases, and technical roadmaps.
  • Design and improve enablement content, tools, and technical resources while advocating internally for partner needs.
  • Help improve partner enablement, self-service demo adoption, technical competency, stakeholder satisfaction, and the success of supported deals.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
