Job Description
MTC teachers are recently returned missionaries who guide missionaries through their training. This position is located at the England Missionary Training Centre in Chorley.

This position is located at the Preston England MTC. The right to work in the UK is a prerequisite to be considered for this role.
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction, direction, counsel, feedback, and training using Preach my Gospel and the approved curriculum (75%)
- Demonstrate understanding of and loyalty to the approved training model of explain, demonstrate, practice, evaluate, and re-practice
- Direct missionaries in planning and accounting for their learning
- Develop and maintain an appropriate relationship with missionaries based on love, respect, and courtesy
- Discover and respond to missionaries' needs; and strengthen missionaries' faith in the Lord Jesus Christ
- Responsible and accountable for missionary progress
- Teach language (only applies to some teachers at specific MTCs)
- Dedicate time to plan and prepare to instruct missionaries (15-20%)
- Attend and actively participate in regular in-service training and monthly video conference training with Church Headquarters' personnel (5-10%)
- Implement direction and training from manager of training and the International MTC administrative staff
- Receive and implement feedback from manager of training following regular classroom observation
- Assist in MTC administrative tasks (0-5%)
- Measure progress based on missionary progress and evaluations and, manager observations and evaluations

- Has served a full-time mission and returned successfully and honourably within 36 months of applying.
- Be available throughout the week for daytime or evening shifts, including Saturdays and averaging 20-24 hours a week.
- Has demonstrated ability to motivate and effectively teach missionaries.
- Be fluent in written and spoken English.
- Be fluent in the mission language the teacher is hired to teach or hired to teach in (either English, French, German). Individuals with other European Language skills are encouraged to apply.
- Understands, can demonstrate, and is committed to the content of Preach My Gospel and approved principles of missionary work.
- Exemplifies missionary standards in dress, grooming, and behavior.
- Not afraid of using technology for teaching.
