WE’RE HIRING – MUCKAWAY & AGGREGATE SALES

📍 Oldham / Greater Manchester & North West

B.J. Crowther Ltd is looking for an experienced and motivated Muckaway & Aggregate Sales to join our team.

We operate our own fleet of 32-tonne 8-wheel tipper vehicles, providing muckaway, spoil-to-tip, aggregate supply, and tipper haulage services across Greater Manchester and the surrounding areas.

We’re looking for someone who knows the industry, knows where the work is, and knows how to win it.

The role will involve:

  • Identifying new groundworks, demolition, remediation, housing, and civil engineering projects
  • Generating new muckaway and aggregate enquiries
  • Building relationships with groundworkers, site managers, estimators, buyers, and contractors
  • Visiting sites and developing new customer relationships
  • Preparing and following up quotations
  • Securing profitable muckaway, tipper haulage, and aggregate work
  • Monitoring new developments and upcoming projects
  • Developing new accounts into long-term customers

Who are we looking for?

Ideally, you will already have experience in one or more of the following:

  • Muckaway
  • Aggregates
  • Tipper Hire
  • Grab Hire
  • Groundworks
  • Demolition
  • Recycling
  • Construction Waste
  • Haulage

Existing contacts within the Greater Manchester / North West construction industry would be a major advantage.

You should understand the basics of muckaway and waste classification, including inert and non-hazardous material, disposal routes, tipping costs, and how haulage distance affects the profitability of a job.

Most importantly, we're looking for a proactive salesperson and relationship builder who enjoys finding opportunities, getting out to sites, and turning enquiries into work.
