Role Description
This full-time, on-site Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer role is based at CHESTERFIELD POULTRY LTD in Doncaster. The Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer will carry out routine and reactive maintenance on production equipment and machinery to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance. - Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
- Performing repairs
- Implementing preventive maintenance schedules in line with safety and compliance standards
- Collaborating with production and operations teams to support continuous improvement
- Documenting maintenance activities
- Contributing to equipment upgrades and installations

The engineer will be expected to follow all health and safety procedures, respond promptly to breakdowns, and help maintain a clean, efficient, and safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Strong background in Maintenance Engineering with experience in Equipment Maintenance and general Maintenance & Repair in a manufacturing or food production environment.
- Proficiency in Preventive Maintenance, including planning and executing maintenance schedules to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment life.
- Hands-on Electrical Maintenance skills, with the ability to safely diagnose and repair electrical issues on production machinery.
- Relevant technical qualification (e.g., NVQ, HNC, or equivalent) in engineering, electrical, or mechanical disciplines.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, and ability to work to compliance and quality standards within a food production facility.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to work shifts or flexible hours as required by production schedules; prior experience in poultry or food processing is an advantage.
