About The Role
MultakaOxford is based at the History of Science and Pitt Rivers Museums. Multaka, means ‘meeting point’ is Arabic and within your role in the project you will be the Communications producer and project administrator. You will create and deliver communications that capture and share MultakaOxford’s activities, stories, impact and development across websites, social media, newsletters and reports. Working closely with museum colleagues, volunteers and programme partners, you will develop engaging content for different audiences, build communications networks and use design packages such as Canva or Adobe. You will also provide administrative support to the programme, helping to ensure that volunteer, safeguarding, risk management, financial and reporting processes are followed accurately and consistently. This will include maintaining volunteer records, supporting enquiries, liaising with finance colleagues, suppliers and artists, and assisting with the organisation of events.
This is a part-time, fixed-term position, working 21.9 hours per week/0.6 FTE (3 days per week) until 30th April 2029.
About You
You will be an effective communicator with proven experience of creating messaging for inter- and multi-cultural audiences across a range of media and communication channels. You will be able to speak more than one language and use verbal and written English confidently. You will have experience of creating print and digital content using design packages such as Canva or Adobe, together with knowledge and experience of good practice in digital communications, including websites and social media.

Experience of communications within the cultural or creative sectors, events management, risk management or safeguarding would be desirable.
