About The Role
Multaka, meaning ‘meeting point’ in Arabic, is an award-winning initiative that works in partnership with communities and organisations to bring people together through intercultural learning, mutual benefit, respect and inclusion.
You will plan, deliver and evaluate MultakaOxford activities at the History of Science Museum, working closely with staff, volunteer collaborators and partners to co-create projects, events, workshops and displays. You will have demonstrable experience of working within multicultural projects, including people who may be settling in the UK as refugees, seeking asylum, or who have experienced displacement or forced migration. You will have experience of collaborative and co-creative practice, with the ability to plan and deliver welcoming, caring, accessible and inclusive workshops, events and research activities.
You will have experience of bringing together university departments, researchers and academics with public engagement, heritage or cultural activity, and of supporting a range of stakeholders, including organisational partners and people volunteering their time, knowledge and expertise. You will be proficient in English and able to speak one or more additional languages.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
