About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker to join us as a key part of our Children and Young People's Mental Health Service.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake CAMHS assessments of children and young people up to age 18 to inform formulation, diagnosis and recommendations for treatment within a spectrum of mental health presentations.
- Offer evidence-based interventions to children and adolescents with complex mental health needs and their families.
- Deliver a range of evidence-based clinical interventions for children and young people.
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with members of the team and partnership agencies e.g. Social Services, Education, and others.
- Demonstrate an interest in multi-agency and multi-disciplinary work and be familiar with evidence-based practice in children's mental health.
Additional Requirements
- Excellent opportunities for CPD, in-service teaching and supervision within the team and the Trust.
- Ability to work independently and have good clinical / therapeutic and case management skills to engage this group of young people.
- Carry out and coordinate comprehensive, systematic mental health assessments which take account of relevant mental, physical, social, cultural, psychological, spiritual, and environmental factors, in partnership with service user and others through interaction, observation and measurement.
- Work collaboratively with other disciplines, service user, and their carers to agree a holistic person-centred care plan that addresses the needs identified through assessment.
- Deliver and evaluate safe, person-centred care in partnership with the service user and their carers to support recovery.
- Provide educational support to optimise health and wellbeing; promoting self-care where possible, helping people to make choices about their needs and involve their carers where appropriate.
