🚚 Multi-Drop Driver – Temp to Perm

£13.00 per hour PAYE

Monday to Friday | 7:00am start – finish

Temp to Perm Opportunity | Edinburgh

Driver Hire Edinburgh City are currently looking for reliable and hardworking Multi-Drop Drivers to join our client’s busy transport operation on a temp-to-perm basis.

We are looking for two drivers, with one position available to start 7th September and another 14th September.


The Role

You will be working for a well-established food wholesaler, delivering pre-packed orders to a range of customers including:

  • Restaurants
  • Hotels
  • Bakeries
  • Delis
  • Other food businesses

The role involves multi-drop deliveries, with routes varying from day to day. Some routes may involve around 10–15 deliveries across a wider geographical area, while others may cover more local/city routes with 30+ deliveries.

We are therefore looking for drivers who are comfortable working with both types of routes and who can manage their time effectively throughout the day.


Hours & Pay

  • £13.00 per hour PAYE
  • Monday to Friday
  • 7:00am start – finish
  • Holiday accrual with every shift
  • Weekly pay while working through Driver Hire
  • Temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate

Main Duties

  • Complete deliveries efficiently and within the required timeframes
  • Ensure goods are delivered safely and securely
  • Take goods into customer premises and obtain signatures for deliveries
  • Complete supplier collections as required
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks
  • Ensure the vehicle is clean, safe and roadworthy & report any vehicle defects or issues promptly
  • Maintain a polite and professional manner when dealing with customers

Driver Requirements

Due To Our Client’s Insurance Requirements, Applicants Must

  • Be over 21 years old
  • Have no more than 6 penalty points
  • Have no DD, DG, DR, IN or CD endorsements
  • Hold the appropriate driving licence for the vehicle
  • Have good communication and customer service skills
