Job Title: Driver
Location: Maidstone
Summary of Role
We are looking for a professional and reliable Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of products, materials, and medical samples while ensuring compliance with operational procedures and service standards. You will play a key role in maintaining delivery accuracy, customer satisfaction, and the smooth running of logistics operations.
Responsibilities
- Complete assigned collections and deliveries in line with scheduled timings and service requirements.
- Verify shipment details and obtain signatures or proof of delivery documentation.
- Transport products, materials, and medical samples safely and securely.
- Follow route plans, temperature control requirements, and transportation regulations.
- Provide timely updates on delivery status, delays, or shipment exceptions.
- Support loading, unloading, packaging, and labelling activities as required.
- Carry out routine vehicle checks and report maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist with specialist transport assignments, including transfer-point, airport, and hand-to-hand deliveries.

- Full UK driving licence with a good driving record.
- Previous experience in a driving, courier, or transport role.
- Strong understanding of delivery processes and transport documentation.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements within a transport environment.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining delivery records and operational updates.
Desirable
- Experience transporting healthcare, pharmaceutical, or medical products.
- Knowledge of temperature-controlled logistics.
- Familiarity with route planning and delivery management systems.
- Experience handling time-critical or regulated shipments.
- Understanding of transport compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting specialist logistics or courier services.
- Additional driving or logistics-related qualifications.
- Experience working within a warehouse or distribution environment.

Requirements
Education: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
Experience: Less than 2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, courier operations, delivery services, or a related field required.
Certifications: Certification in dangerous goods awareness, licensure in operation of the applicable vehicle class, cold chain handling, or equivalent required.
