Job Details

Job Title: Multi Drop Driver

Location: Croydon

Work Pattern: Full Time, 48 hours per week minimum. Monday to Friday (full days) plus Saturday mornings.


Summary Of Role

Alliance Healthcare, part of Cencora, is a leading distributor of pharmaceutical, medical and healthcare products across the UK. We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Multi Drop Driver to join our Fleet and Transport Team in Croydon. In this role, you will play a vital part in the healthcare supply chain, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of essential medicines and healthcare products to customers across the region.


Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a 3.5-tonne van to complete scheduled pharmaceutical deliveries.
  • Complete a high volume of deliveries, typically 50 or more drops per day.
  • Load and unload delivery totes while ensuring product integrity and security.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Accurately record delivery information and complete required documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with the transport team regarding delivery progress and any issues.
  • Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report defects promptly.
  • Follow all company procedures, road traffic regulations and health and safety requirements.

Skills And Knowledge

  • Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 3 live penalty points.
  • Previous experience in a multi drop driving or delivery role.
  • Good knowledge of local road networks and delivery routes.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet delivery schedules.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach to work.
  • Ability to carry out physically demanding duties, including lifting delivery totes.

Desirable

  • Experience delivering pharmaceutical, medical or healthcare products.
  • Experience using handheld delivery devices or route management systems.
  • Knowledge of transport compliance and delivery documentation.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced distribution environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills when managing route changes or delivery challenges.
  • Familiarity with vehicle inspection and reporting procedures.
  • Proven track record of maintaining high delivery accuracy.
  • Understanding of customer service best practices within logistics operations.
