Hours:
- Starting time: 0645
- Monday to Friday: 40 hours per week
- Flexibility required: Additional hours as and when needed (including urgent medical deliveries)
Hourly Rate: £12.71
About the Role
At Polar Speed, a UPS company, we provide temperature-sensitive transportation and pharmaceutical distribution solutions to the UK. Known for our quality, compliance, and innovative logistical solutions, we support the growing pharmaceutical supply chain with active temperature-controlled deliveries.
Your role will involve deliveries and collections to GP surgeries, retail pharmacies, wholesalers, hospitals, and end patients, including homecare services for critical medical supplies.

Key Responsibilities
- Check and scan all consignments for accuracy.
- Complete daily vehicle and refrigeration unit safety checks.
- Deliver consignments on time, ensuring temperature-controlled product integrity.
- Electronically capture delivery records and complete driver manifests accurately.
- Communicate service updates daily with stakeholders.
- Drive professionally and safely, adhering to UPS operational standards.
- Present a smart appearance during all customer interactions.
Requirements & Skills
- Minimum 2 years’ driving experience (specialised delivery experience preferred).
- Must hold a valid B category driving licence (preferably ≤3 penalty points).
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on professionalism and discretion.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills to meet demanding schedules.
- Ability to build rapport with customers while maintaining confidentiality.
