Location: Gatwick, Stansted and East Midlands – RH6 0SQ
PLEASE NOTE: The role is based within an airport. You will be required to undergo a security/background check if you are to be successful for this position.
About the Role
At DHL Supply Chain, safety is at the heart of everything we do. We're looking for a Multi-Site HSE Business Partner to lead and drive health, safety and compliance across our Consolidation Services operation, supporting key airport locations including Gatwick, Stansted, East Midlands Airport and the Midlands operation. This is a highly visible role within a unique logistics environment, ensuring the safe movement, screening and delivery of retail and restaurant products into secure airport operations, supporting customers such as airlines, retailers and food service providers.
Working closely with operational leaders, customers and external stakeholders, you'll champion a proactive Safety First culture, influence improvement initiatives, analyse performance trends and ensure compliance with both regulatory and airport-specific requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety professional who enjoys building strong relationships, using data to drive decisions and making a genuine impact across multiple operational sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Partnering with operational leadership teams across multiple airport and logistics sites to drive a strong Safety First culture.
- Analysing safety data, trends, incidents and KPIs to identify risks and implement preventative actions.
- Leading investigations into accidents, incidents and near misses, ensuring robust root cause analysis and corrective actions are completed.
- Conducting site audits, inspections and compliance reviews to ensure alignment with DHL, regulatory and airport requirements.
- Building strong relationships with customers, operational teams, airport stakeholders and external regulatory bodies.
- Supporting safety improvement projects, change programmes and training initiatives that enhance operational performance and compliance.

Ideal Candidate
- Have a strong Health & Safety background within logistics, warehousing, transport, industrial or operational environments.
- Hold a NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) and have a solid understanding of HSE management systems.
- Enjoy working with operational data, identifying trends and using insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Are confident influencing and building credibility with stakeholders at all levels, from frontline teams to senior leaders.
- Can effectively lead both directly and indirectly, driving accountability across multiple locations and teams.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, multi-site environment and are motivated by improving safety performance, compliance and operational standards.
Security Process to Work within Aviation and Travel at DHL
To obtain a full airside ID, you must:
- Be able to provide five years' address history
- Be able to provide five years' reference history (employment/education/benefit claim/character)
- Pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test
