Description

SolidCor is on a mission to make volume fire door replacement possible within days — enabling the industry to rapidly achieve compliance and community safety in every building. Born out of the urgent need for change following the Grenfell disaster, we have built the fastest production times in the industry and the widest range of primary-tested fire door configurations. We are growing fast and we are looking for A-players to help us get there.

We are passionate about getting things right and obsessed with quality. Our products are safety-critical — when a fire door fails, the consequences are real. Every operative on our factory floor plays a direct role in making sure that never happens.

We are looking for Multi Skilled Assembly Operatives to join our growing production team in Chesterfield. This is a hands-on factory role where you will move across multiple workstations and processes — assembly, fitting, finishing, and supporting wherever the team needs you most. Your flexibility and commitment to quality are what make this role work.

If you take pride in your work, hold yourself to a high standard, and want to be part of a business genuinely committed to saving lives — read on.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work across multiple production cells and workstations, carrying out assembly, fitting, and finishing of fire door components and completed doorsets to specification.
  • Follow production drawings, work instructions, and quality standards accurately at every stage of the manufacturing process.
  • Carry out quality checks on your own work, identifying and reporting defects or non conformances immediately.
  • Support different areas of the factory as directed by your Cell Lead or Shift Manager, adapting quickly to changing priorities and workloads.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and light production machinery safely and accurately in line with training and H&S requirements.
  • Maintain your workstation and the surrounding area in a clean, safe, and organised condition throughout your shift.
  • Work collaboratively with your cell team and the wider factory, contributing to a positive and productive environment.
  • Complete any required documentation, job cards, or quality records accurately and on time.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
