This role sits within the CTSL part of our business, offering the opportunity to work with a dedicated team known for its technical expertise and commitment to excellent client service. CTSL Group joined SEED Environmental in 2025, bringing together complementary expertise in environmental compliance, spill response, and remediation. Founded in 2006 and based in Leyland with additional depots across the UK, CTSL is recognised as one of the UK's leading specialists in environmental claims management and site services.
About The Role
We are seeking a Multi Skilled Builder to join our CTSL team in the Preston area, working on nationwide projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a versatile, hands-on professional to carry out specialist remediation work on oil contaminated residential properties across the UK.

You will perform both internal and external building works as part of environmental remediation projects, working in an ever-changing environment with tight time constraints. This role requires someone who is prepared to work away from home, work as part of a team, and has the ability to read and understand plans and drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all aspects of building work on oil contaminated residential properties including:
- Removing contaminated soils, brickwork, and internal floors
- Underpinning and installing new damp proof courses (DPC)
- Re-building brickwork and blockwork
- Patch plastering and drainage works
- General joinery and carpentry tasks
- Perform both internal and external remediation works to high standards
- Work as part of a team in challenging environments with tight time constraints
- Read, understand, and work from plans and drawings
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and respectful working environment
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and colleagues
- Travel nationwide to project sites and work away from home when required
- Follow health and safety protocols, including proper use of PPE
- Keep accurate records including timesheets and job records
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in joinery, brickwork, plastering, drainage, and all aspects of building work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding environment
- Fitness and motivation to work in an ever-changing industry
- Ability to read and understand plans and drawings
- Clean, presentable, and well-spoken with strong communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to work away from home and travel nationwide
- Right to work in the UK

Desirable
- CSCS card
- CPCS certification

- Experience in environmental remediation or contaminated land works
Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum and provide a comprehensive range of benefits including:
